The English Peas are up in the garden beds and bush beans are peeking warily into the still cold air. It will be a couple of warm weeks before they start to completely stretch and unfurl. Sam, the great blue heron is on the pond every morning, and as chatty ducks swim cautiously by he catches breakfast between his many still life pauses. We have returned Ferdinand our leased Hereford bull to his owners after serveral months of his wooing the cows who look at his young excitement with patient eyes, all seem content .Now as we wait for the newest crop of calves bred last Fall we know they are due in these next 2 months.
